“Hang on, did that statue just move?” John said staring at the image on Sherlock’s laptop
“Always one to point out the obvious, John” Sherlock sighed, his eyes peering intently at the statue. A pair of cold stone wings, a lonely looking face of an Angel with it’s head hovering in it’s hands, were looming on the screen of the laptop. A blip in the tape and the Angel’s face was now peering at John
“Sherlock, someone’s probably just messing around” John said, shaking his head at how entranced Sherlock was by any sign of the impossible
“No, this is real. If this weren’t real the statue wouldn’t have creases where it’s moved, it wouldn’t have the signs of dirt on it’s dress if it were just in a room made of steel, and it wouldn’t have been sent to me by him if it weren’t important”
“Him?” John queried, his eyebrows turning in a frown
“Him” Sherlock smirked
“Sherlock, what’s going on and who sent you this?” John huffed
“Danger. And not just the ordinary crime this time, no, this is real danger. A danger so malevolent that he can’t solve it on his own-“
“Who is he?”
“The Doctor”
